Fire Bubbles 101 - Workshop & Photoshoot

Fire Bubbles 101 - Saturday, February 25, 2023 1:00-6:00PM

This workshop will begin with an introduction about fire bubbles: what fire bubbles are, how they work, and safety when working with fire bubbles, followed by a demonstration. Students will learn about working with fire safely in a controlled environment to create epic photographs under the supervision of a professional. Brett will then photograph participants in rounds with fire bubbles.

For the photoshoot, participants may dress however they'd like: boudoir, costumed, or casual-the choice is yours! During the first round of photos, participants will hold the fire in their hand, so they can feel what it is like to have fire in their hand. For the second round of photographs, pictures of suggested poses will be available to choose from (or bring your own ideas!). Participants can also have their photos taken in pairs or groups. Pole, silks, sling, and lyra (aerial hoop) will be available to pose with. Participants may also bring their own props/apparatus. Each time a person does a pose with fire, they will get to do it twice.

Price for workshop & photoshoot is $200. Participants will end up with at least 20 photos.

Fire master & photographer Brett Hoffay is one of the only people in the United States (and in the world) practicing a specific type of fire manipulation known as fire bubbles.Using a propriety flammable gel, Brett has been able to create unbelievable images that seem to defy reality! Brett will be traveling over 200 miles to share his unique craft with us.
